Tea set Golden Alexandria 6/20
$5,900.00 AUD
Brand Imperial Porcelain St. Petersburg 1744
The tea set "Golden Alexandria" was made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg of hard porcelain employing the only hand-painted technique.
The drawing was restored from the Hermitage museum specimens. In 1827, originally this set was made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St.Petersburg by special order of emperor Nicholas I for the residence "Pavlovskij Palace", that residence belonged to the mother of the emperor (Impress Maria Fedorovna, the wife of Pavel I). Initially, the set consisted of 240 plates and 48 oval dishes. An abundance of gold gave to this set the second name "Golden".
The set includes 20 components for 6 people.
